Suncrest Bank among ‘Best 50’

visalia – Suncrest Bank, which operates branches in Visalia and Porterville, is among the top tier of publically traded companies.

On Feb. 2, Suncrest Bank was ranked number 15 on the 2017 OTCQX Best 50, a ranking of top performing companies traded on the over-the-counter stock exchange (OTCQX) Best Market last year. The OTCQX Best 50 is an annual ranking of the top 50 U.S. and international companies traded on the OTCQX market, the top tier of the three marketplaces for trading over-the-counter stocks provided and operated by the OTC Markets Group. Suncrest Bank trades under the ticker symbol SBKK.

The ranking is calculated based on an equal weighting of one-year total return and average daily dollar volume growth in the previous calendar year. Companies in the 2017 OTCQX Best 50 were ranked based on their performance in 2016, when Suncrest provided a 43.44% return for its stockholders with a 52-week high of $11.60 per share and never dropping below $7.00 per share.

“We made this prestigious list based on total shareholder return and growth in average daily dollar volume in 2016,” said Mr. Ciaran McMullan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Suncrest Bank. “The efforts we have made, together with the OTCQX, to increase the profile of the bank and expand the ownership of our stock, are starting to pay off in terms of increased liquidity for all our shareholders,” he added.

The OTCQX Best Market offers transparent and efficient trading of established, investor-focused U.S. and global companies. To qualify for the OTCQX market, companies must meet high financial standards, follow best practice corporate governance, demonstrate compliance with U.S. securities laws and have a professional third-party sponsor introduction. The companies found on OTCQX are distinguished by the integrity of their operations and diligence with which they convey their qualifications.

Suncrest Bank, member FDIC, is locally owned and operated and offers a full range of commercial, small business and agribusiness loans, cash management services and personal deposit products throughout the Central Valley of California with branches in Visalia, Porterville, Kingsburg and Yuba City. It is regularly rated Five Stars by Bauer Financial as one of the nation’s strongest financial institutions, and is a Preferred Lender with the Small Business Administration.
